Good old trusty pencil…
Okay, so I feel like I’ve travelled back in time, but here’s an attempt at (another anthropologist) pencil portraiture. And it’s weirdly like things I used to draw when I was back in school… like my drawing skills fossilised same as the things these guys were studying.
Pushing the envelope I broke open the watercolour pencils (Or are they called water soluble pencils?) for a couple more. And read a bit (but probably not enough) by Sarah Becktel at Strathmore . Anyway, these guys:
Finally, I just used straight watercolour (But a big piece of paper to try and be careful with and not get too wet).
Oh, but then I remembered I had yet another, different type of pencil, ‘watersoluble sketching pencils’ (Just after I’d read that Kanzi the Bonobo was still going strong).
