Not boys from… No, I mean charcoal
I was curious to revisit this medium and to get me in the mood rather liked the (gentle) encouragement from reading/watching Louise Stigell , not least because she didn’t profess to have all of the answers…
Anyway, in a Ready – Fire – Aim kind of way, I dived right in and had a go… (As an aide-memoire to the names of various Anthropologists I’ve been reading about, I’ve been sketching them, and some of the early pioneers were in the days of black-and-white photography, so charcoal felt like a good medium to use). These were drawn A2 size.
Up until now I’ve been doing quick sketches in pen of some of the authors whose work I’ve been discovering…
