I went to see work by George Stubbs which was assembled at MK Gallery, and had some interesting portraits of people as well as horses. The textures of the velvet and silk were sublime, although for a few of the paintings it almost seemed like the subjects had been added later, almost like players on a stage.
The etchings were great (and the magnificent skeleton, too), but my favourite was probably the book of Horse Anatomy
Anyway, a lovely treat in space age Milton Keynes
